The Second Tuesday Lecture
This lecture as I expected was no where near as exciting as the past lecture. I found that as I looked around there were a lot of sleepy and sleeping freshman trying to get through the presentation. I thought that their work was very different and hard to understand. I was very compelled by the videos they had to show, but when they started to explain things I lost them, for one because the mic sounded very mumbled back where I was sitting, and for two they explained the theory of the video before they showed it which made it hard for me to understand. I really liked how their exhibits are surround sound and basically make you feel like you are there in the piece, acting as part of the piece. The last video they showed was very compelling to me. It had a lot of meaning behind it to me, but I don't think the meaning that I got from it was the meaning they were trying to get across. Finally I think that if it would have been possible at all, they could've set up a piece they did so we could see it live and in person. Actually think this would make for a very more exciting presentations for any artist we have visiting. That is my take on the Tuesday lecture.
