Lecture
Today's lecture was a little bit better and a little bit worse. I liked her work, but I didn't understand what exactly it is that she does. Also it wasn't the easiest to listen to her talk. She didn't seem like she knew what she wanted to say for a lot of the lecture, so she kept losing me. I was very drawn to the rain art. I like the idea and her end result came out to be very beautiful. Also even though I hate spiders I love her idea of making art with the spider webs. And she even had spider webs she has collected with her! Which has been my main complaint about the lectures, that no one brings in their art to look at in person, but she did! I also feel like I would've really liked to have been there in person when she was doing the exhibit of the melting strawberries and frogs. I found the way she lived to be very different. She said she lived in the woods in a very small cabin. I could never ever be able to do that. Then she said she was moving again into an even smaller cabin. I was impressed by her sense of adventure. Overall she had interesting work...but it was just difficult listening to her at points.
